I was first introduced to Icelandics when I was searching for a new trail dog. I loved riding my horse in the mountains with my elkhound Smokey. But Smokey was getting old and I needed a new dog to train.
At a "meet the breed" booth at a conformation show I met Icelandics. The person manning the booth told me that they would be great trail dogs and great with my family. Thankfully, I believed her. And they have proved her right!
