Week 8 Puppy Update
Week 8...how time has flown! Andri and Baula were picked up by their humans yesterday. Kirkjufell and Skjaldbreiður will be with us for another week before their humans come get them. Week 2 Puppy Update
Baula of course opened her eyes on Friday, Skjaldbreiður and Kirkjufell on Saturday, Litlakista and Andri's eyes were sort of open Saturday evening but definitely open this morning. Everyone's ears are starting to relax as well. Read more.

Week 1 Puppy Update
Puppies are gaining weight easily and are energetic little wigglers! We have had to close the half door in the whelping box to keep them from climbing over the edge already... They are a bit young to go adventuring under the bed alone yet. Read more.

Puppies have arrived!!!
We bred Emma to KK again on June 12, and 13 2016. Puppies were born on August 14th starting at 9:10pm. The labor was easy and efficient. Emma did a great job!
We have 5 healthy puppies, 3 boys and 2 girls. Updates and pictures will be posted on a weekly basis.
Blue Mountain Skjaldbreiður: born at 9:10pm MST 8.14.16; Male; 11.2 oz; has a double dewclaw on both rear feet
Blue Mountain Baula: born at 9:50pm MST 8.14.16; Female; 10.5 oz; has a double dewclaw on both rear feet
Blue Mountain Kirkjufell: born at 10:16pm MST 8.14.16; Male; 10 oz; has a double dewclaw on both rear feet, and on the right front
Blue Mountain Litlakista: born at 11:15pm MST 8.14.16; Female; 10.2 oz; has a double dewclaw on both rear feet
Blue Mountain Andri: born at 11:50pm MST 8.14.16; Male; 10.5 oz; has a double dewclaw on the right and a single on the left rear foot
We chose Istjarnar Keilir (aka. KK) because he is conformationally a good match (Hips: OFA Good; Eyes: CERF Normal 5/26/2015) for Emma and we loved his gray color. We thought it would compliment Emma's wolf gray beautifully. We love his calm and gentle personality and the fact that he is not a barker as Emma is also not a barker. KK was directly imported from Iceland from Istjarnar hundar kennel and currently lives on Vancouver Island with his new family at Ronan Icelandics. The inbreeding coefficient for this litter is .39.
